Senior Estimator – Gyms & Swimming Pools

The role:
My Client is looking to hire an experienced estimator with at least 5 years’ experience within the role, ideally within the leisure sector. This is a predominately office-based role but site visits will be required. The successful candidate will be working on projects worth upwards of £35M
Duties:
Bid administration and preparing full estimates on complex work.
Preparing and maintaining status of plan reproduction.
Solicit and maintain communication with subcontractors and vendors.
Prepares subcontractor bid packages.
Transmits addenda and other bid information to subcontractors.
Coordinate and interface with owners, architects, engineers, project managers and other project team members to resolve any technical matters during planning and development, negotiation and contract execution.
Ensure proper coverage from subcontractors on bid day.
Submits 100% of bids and budgets by the bid deadline no exceptions.
Efficiently performing all stages of an estimate including project selection, estimate organization, take-
off, pricing, review and closeout.
Communicate project progress/status with Management.
Prepare, analyse and maintain accurate quantities and thorough take offs from plans.
Estimate time, materials and equipment required for job completion.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years’ experience as an estimator.
Experience of working within leisure build preferred.
Experience on residential builds.
Extensive experience as an estimator in the construction field.
Exceptional time management, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
Brilliant management and negotiation skills.
Ability to closely collaborate with other project teams and stakeholders
Min. 7-10 years’ experience working in heavy construction/leisure estimating
Knowledgeable of the following: civil/site construction, foundation and structural systems. metals, casework, doors, specialties, interior finishes, exterior building wall systems, mechanical and electrical
Able to manage multiple projects concurrently
