Definition

A senior commissioning engineer is a multi-skilled person who carries out the full commissioning process on newly installed BMS panels, integration and loose controls to a complete and operational system. They produce precise reports and ‘work to go’ lists to log the commissioning process. They liaise with all trades in order to progress the BMS and its commissioning. They can offer advice & instruction on the installation of BMS systems. They offer technical advice on BMS and 3 rd party systems. Once the commissioning is complete they carry out site training, demonstration and witnessing to the customers and clients satisfaction.


Overview

A senior commissioning engineer is an important senior team player which is a responsible self motivated role with additional back-up from other commissioning and office staff. A senior commissioning engineer is someone who can quickly react to any situation and provide solutions to most events.


Responsibilities

The purpose of this position is to carry out the commissioning of BMS systems and their associated controls, including front end supervisors and integration, which will include but not be limited to the following responsibilities.

Carrying out commissioning of BMS systems.

The production of detailed reports including commissioning reports, test results and as fitted drawings.

The integration of 3 rd party systems into the BMS using MODbus, Mbus or BACnet enabled devices.

Keeping the project manager, service coordinator or director up to date on their movements and location.

Keeping the project manager up to date on their progress and the status of the commissioning.

Passing information and instruction onto other engineers in order to maintain a site presence.

Returning all documentation, test results and final paperwork to the office /PM.

Salary: £20,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
