Contracts Manager/ Senior Project Manager

Hunter Mason Consulting are working with a client who are a leading specialist contractor supplying the construction industry with Structural Steelwork and Architectural Metalwork. They provide design, manufacture, and installation services across a wide range of sectors throughout the UK.

Hunter Mason Consulting are looking for a highly accomplished Contracts Manager/ Senior Project Manager capable of achieving objectives by planning project activities, evaluating implementation and progress of projects from point of order through to completion and handover.

Key Objectives will be but not limited to: -

  • Completion of projects within budget and agreed programme

  • Client satisfaction

  • Promotion of business development

  • Management of projects in all aspects of Safety, Health, and Environment

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • To manage several projects simultaneously and fully understand the project requirements/ scope of works/ specification of each.

  • To be responsible for the completion of the project in accordance with the Contract programme, budget, specification, company procedures and current legislation.

  • Create and deliver project work programmes on Asta and revise as appropriate to meet ongoing client and project changes & requirements and that relevant in-house departments are coordinated.

  • Manage the off-site activities in conjunction with relevant departments such as design, droughting, purchasing, and manufacturing.

  • Visit sites regularly to ensure that all activities are being carried out correctly, to programme and safely.

  • Attend Client design and progress meetings as required

  • Manage the Site managers and identify hire, labor and sub-contract resources and assign responsibilities.

  • To be responsible for the Company’s onsite activities and ensure Method Statements and Risk Assessments are produced and issued for all site activities

  • Organise, manage, and monitor the progress of the projects and take action to ensure deadlines are met.

  • To be able to forecast potential risks and come up with ways to minimize and/or eliminate such risks.

  • Keep strict financial control of the project budgets to maximise profitability and execute financial control, cash flow and variations alongside the commercial team.

  • To manage and report any prolongations, delays, disruptions, and disputes back to the Contracts Director/ Commercial Director and maintain accurate records to safeguard the company’s contractual position.

  • Organise, manage, and monitor personnel/ suppliers/ subcontractors under your control to achieve maximum efficiency.

  • Co-ordinate with the Procurement team for specialist items and sub-contractors ensuring all the information is clear and precise.

  • Ensure project documentation are complete, current, and appropriately stored in line with the company’s procedures and requirements.

  • Keep track of site operations to achieve the programme and in accordance with the approved RAMS, Safe Systems of Work, Statutory Legislation, and good practice.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £70,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
