Hunter Mason's client is looking for a Contracts Manager with construction and refurbishment experience to join their growing team. My client cover a number of projects from small domestic work to large scale full school and hospital refurbishments. This is a new role that the company are creating as the current Contracts Manager will be specializing in the Passive Fire aspect of the business going forward. My client will also be offering a profit share for any new business brought in.
Responsibilities:
· To have a strategic overview of company operations.
· Project development, programming and management to ensure all targets are met on time, within budget and to specification.
· To ensure costs align with budgeted projections.
· To hold site managers responsible for site safety and all work activities conducted on-site.
· To resource the Site Managers to ensure a safe working environment for all on-site employees.
· In collaboration with the Construction Director- recruitment and selection of all on-site full time and part time staff.
· Planning, coordination and control of all human resources to meet targeted outputs and client deadlines.
· To ensure correct quality, standards and precise specifications are met at all times.
· The management of quality systems and procedures, including the auditing of our teams.
· The maintenance of appropriate information systems in accordance with the needs of the Project Managers & Site Managers.
· To effectively communicate with the Project managers and Site Managers to ensure compliance to specification.
· To assist in the development of the project procurement schedule and monitor regularly to ensure that the project needs are met
Essential attributes:
· Valid qualifications – SMSTS, First Aid, CSCS
· Sound knowledge of Health & Safety
· Proven Contract Management experience
· Exceptional written and spoken English skills
· Self-motivated personality
· Attention to detail with a right first-time attitude
· Organisation and time management skills
