Bench Joiner - Tockwith

Full job description

Joiners work in the Wood Workshop carrying out bench joinery tasks on projects running through the workshop to a high standard as required. This role may also require travel to site to assist in the installation of a project. Key Responsibilities:

  • Construction of components as required ensuring that the highest standards in finish and tolerances in accordance with information supplied, are achieved using the correct methods.

  • Following day to day production plans in order to meet project deadlines.

  • Be able to solve problems and make decision when needed.

  • Record all builds as complete on our internal database.

  • Help to manage the quality control of finished items.

  • Clearly communicate all relevant information including job progress and any problems and/or issues.

ESSENTIAL – - Demonstratable laminating skills - Very comfortable reading engineering drawings - Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people - Excellent finishing skills - Strong teamworking skills - Experience within a workshop environment - Experience of Shop fitting, exhibition, site, bench or bespoke joinery (3-5 years minimum) - Experience of working with all acrylic, Corian, laminates, veneers, hardwoods, GRP etc. - Experience of working to varying production deadlines & changing specification Job Type: Full-time Salary: £14.00-£16.00 per hour Work Location: In person Reference ID: Tockwith
